Insomnia is one of the more prevalent sleep-related conditions in America today. One of every ten Americans is affected by it, and nearly 30% of seniors. There is no distinction between not being able to fall asleep when you first go to bed, or waking up in the middle of the night without being able to go back to sleep. Certainly it is a frustrating situation, and more often than not it is a temporary condition that plays off of external stress factors including relationship troubles, work anxiety or any number of other sudden changes.
