June 23, 2006, Newsletter Issue #21: Memory Foam

Tip of the Week

Memory Foam is a material NASA engineered to make astronauts more comfortable during space launch. It is sensitive to the heat the human body emits and has the ability to automatically adjust to body weight and temperature. The result is a luxurious sleeping experience, not only because memory foam removes irksome pressure points that interfere with a restful sleep, but also because memory foam helps to relieve aches and pains that can accumulate throughout the working day. Memory Foam is considered medium in firmness and responds to the differences in each and every body. It conforms to the curves of the body, offering support along the spine with no discernable pressure on bones and joints. Because of this lack of pressure, circulation is encouraged during sleep making it easier and even preferable to sleep in the same position for hours at a time. It has also been noted that memory foam also reduces the annoyances of tossing or turning from a sleeping partner!
